Our beginning: a new life for cherished items
We were sick of giving our gently used items to Goodwill. To know they are being picked through and damaged sent a dagger to our hearts. We believe these treasures deserved a new home where they could continue to bring joy and beauty, without the hefty price tag. This passion sparked the idea for The Pre-loved Home, giving moms and decor enthusiasts first dibs at a fraction of the cost. We want it to feel like a community marketplace.
The Pre-Loved Home is more than just a website — it’s a passion project that my longtime friend and I brought to life together. We’ve always shared a love for all things vintage and sustainable, and there’s nothing we enjoy more than transforming forgotten pieces into stylish home décor.
Honestly, we got a little tired of just trading décor back and forth between the two of us — so we decided to open it up and share the fun with everyone else! We truly believe every piece has a story, and that pre-loved items bring warmth, personality, and a fresh perspective to a space — even if they started out on a store shelf somewhere.
We’re both busy moms working full-time, so this site definitely wasn’t created to “get rich.” It’s about sharing what we love, building community, keeping things affordable, and giving beautiful pieces a second life. 💛
